This is a simple top-down pattern that works in the round.

Size

Total height: 10cm
Hand circumference: 12cm
Cuff circumference: 9cm (stretches to 12cm)

Gauge

8 stitches x 10 rows = 5cm for the hand in stockinette

Needle Size

• 6mm for the hand
• 5mm for the cuff

Or any other sizes required to get gauge

Pattern Instructions

Hand

Start with 6mm needles

CO8 with provisional cast on, dividing stitches onto 2 DPNs

Work in the round

• Row 1: K8
• Row 2: (Kfb, K1)x4 - 12 stitches total
• Row 3: (Kfb, K2)x4 - 16 stitches total
• Row 4: (Kfb, K7)x2 - 18 stitches total
• Row 5-16: K18

Cuff

Switch to 5mm needles

• Row 17~22: (K1, P1)x9
• Bind off with any stretchy bind off method you’d prefer, and weave in ends

Tip of the hand

• Remove the yarn used for provisional casting on
• Thread through the beginning 8 stitches to close
• Weave in ends

Repeat the same instructions to make the second mitten and you’re done. ;)
